London. Extract of a letter from Newcastle, April 19.
. . . The gentlemen had one intended to dress T.B. a man of
seven feet high, in a ghost-like dress, to represent the
evil genius of Brutus, and to give each person at coming out
of the playhouse a paper with these words, "Not one of
Caesar's conspirators died a natural death:" But this it
was thought proper to omit on account of the Capadian
ladies, besides it was given a serious turn to what was
really a farce."
