Extract of a letter from Portsmouth, June 26. Our bustle is
now pretty well over, and we are again beginning to sin into
all the tranquility of a peaceful naval establishment, the
swarms of company that had arrived here, being moved off
apace; his majesty, the grand magnet which had drawn them
hither, having set off some hours on his return. . . [30
lines] Here, admist the ringing of bells, firing of cannon
&c. he embarked on board the royal barge, which was steered
by Captain Bickerton, and was preceeded to Spithead by the
Lords of the Admiralty, the admirals and captains of the
fleet following behind, according to their seniority. . .
