Run away from his master Nathaniel Backus, junior, of
Norwich, on the 19th of November; a Negro Man servant named
Primus, a well-set fellow about six feet high, near forty
years of age, and a very black complexion; had on when he
went away, a brown jacket lin'd with brown shalloon, a tow
shirt, a pair of leather breeches, trim'd with yellow, and
white buttons; a thick mill'd cap and a pair of grey yarn
stockings; the said Primus can play upon the violin:--
Whoever shall take up the said Negro fellow, and will bring
him to the subscriber, or to his wife at Norwich- Landing,
shall have twenty-pounds old-tenor, reward, and all
reasonable charges, paid by [signed] Nathaniel Backus,
junior.
