Plymouth, Nov. 11. Last Sunday died, and this evening was
buried in the military way, Thomas Marshall, a drummer, aged
105, some say 106. It is certain he was a drummer at
Tangier in the Reign of King Charles the Second, when
General Kirk commanded there. He gave out that he had been
ninety years in the service, and was the first man who beat
the Granadiers March. Some years since he said, that having
lived so long in the service, he was desirous to reach a
hundred years, and to have it mentioned in the news papers.
He has left a widow aged upwards of 80.
