Boston, November 8. . . [15 lines] Friday last was carried
about town (being the 5th of Nov. the happy day on which the
horrid conspiracy of blowing up King James the I. and the
three estates of England was discovered, a large body of the
nobility in town assembled as usual, and in derision to the
three principal confederates in so hellish an invention,
viz.) the devil, pope, and pretender, as also the effigy of
a certain English Admiral, hung upon a gibbet; with a wooden
sword on the right side, and one of steel run through his
bod; upon the front of the stage was written in capitals,
Come hither brave boys, be jolly, and sing,
'Here's death and confusion to Admiral B--g.'
