Boston, Dec. 5. . . It is said---that the Orphan on Thursday
night last, was neither a credit to the actors or company;
and, notwithstanding the effect it had on some of the
ladies, the characters were taken off in such a dull and
insiped manner, that none but weak minds could be affected
therewith;---and that the actors are in no danger of
incurring the penalties of the law for preventing theatrical
entertainment, as this could not be any ways denominated
entertaining.
