Wednesday last a number of boys from the North End going in a boat on a frolick to one of the islands in this harbour, they carried a drum, and several guns to divert themselves; before they reached the place where they designed, one of the guns went off accidently, and shot Michael Bennet, son to Capt. William Bennet, about 13 years of age, and wounded him in such a manner that he died in less than an hour after. |
