New Haven, Sept. 13. Last Wednesday the public Commencement
was held in this town attended by a very large and polite
assembly of people.

The graduates and young gentlemen of the College exemplified
their skill in music, by singing an anthem, to the
acceptance of all present; and a pertinent prayer, by the
