From a late London paper. The Political Raree Show.
A correspondent passing through White-chappel on Friday
observed a man, by his accent a German, exhibiting a half
penny show to the children. There was something so
whimsical in the contents of the show, that our
correspondent could not help listening to the man, and has
brought off as much of the exhibition as his memory would
contain.
Dare you see de two trials at Portsmouth, every body at
fault, and nobody to blame--Dare you see de General, in
America, doing nothing, and dare you see him in de House of
Commons, proving dat he has done every ting. . . [27 lines,
signed] Caetera Desunt.
