In pursuance to a recommendation of the Hon. Congress of the
Unites States to his Excellency the Governor, yesterday was
observed for the celebration of the birth of the Dauphin of
France.  The day was ushered in by the ringing of bells, . .
. [cannon and] continued in the evening, by a brilliant
display of fire-works from a stage in the common,
illuminations, &c.
