Quebec, October 13. On the 18th ult, arrived from London,
in the Canadian, Capt. Abbot, a bell weighing 2500 lbs,
being a present from his Lordship of Quebec to the Cathedral
Church of Notre Dame in this city; and on Thursday morning
last, at ten o'clock, it was baptized. . . [8 more lines

concluded with a mass, celebrated by the coadjutor, and a
solemn Te Deum. About four o'clock in the afternoon as the
