Deserted from my company, in Col. Wyllys's Regiment, one
Samuel Cleaveland, a serjeant, about 25 years of age, 5 feet
10 inches high, dark eyes and dark hair, and light
complexion, with a considerable scar on his right temple;
and one Elijah Cheney, a soldier, about 25 years of age, 5
feet 11 inches high, dark eyes, dark hair, and light
complexion, a very good fiddler, both belonging to Pomfret
in Connecticut. . . [5 more lines speculating said
deserters' intentions and conditions for returning them if
