Philadelphia. July 10. On Sunday last, the 4th of July,
being the anniversary of the day, which gave freedom to the
vast public of America, the Congress, the President and
Council of the state, with other the civil and military
officers, and a number of the principal gentleman and
ladies, at 12 o'clock attended the Roman Chapel, agreeable
to invitation received from the Minister Plenipotentiary of
his most Christian Majesty. A Te Deum was performed on the
occasion to the great satisfaction of all present. And his
excellency's chaplain delivered a short and elegant address
to the audience, of which he have been favoured with the
