farce of Thomas and Sally, which is said to be composed by
one of the city petitioners.]
The clamorous horn calls the rebels abroad,
To court, my brave boys, let's away;
The Parliament's up, and the cry of John Wilkes
Upbraids our too tedious delay.
What pleasure in libelling Grafton or Fox !
Such scandal through Christendom flies!
Then follow, we'll soon see our monarch, huzza!
And teach his best subjects to rise.
