London, May 1 . . . They write from Charlestown, South
Carolina, . . . [Article of foreign news, obscured] It is
reported that Mr Foote will certainly obtain a patent for a
new play house, which it is thought will be erected either
in Durham-Yard [ ] to Exeter Change. It is further said
that there will be no operas next winter, but that the
Haymarket house will be occupied by Mr. Fondre's company; at
the head of whom will appear Mr. Barry, Mr. Macehilly, and
Miss Dance, whom he has engaged from Dublin.
