Extract of a letter from Chatham, September 10.
Friday orders were received here by Col. M'Kenzie, from the
Lords of the Admiralty, for a detachment of marines of this
division to embark on board his Majesty's frigate Niger, of
32 guns; and, in consequence thereof, two Lieutenants, with
one Serjeant, one Corporal, one Drummer, and forty private
men, were embarked on board a vessel from hence yesterday,
for the said frigate, now at the Nore, bound for America.
