On Saturday, the 13th inst. a very numerous meeting of the
Republican Whig-Citizens of this capital (members of the
Marine Anti-Britannic Society) were convened, according to
appointment, at the City-Tavern, to celebrate their
anniversary; in honor of the day on which the British troops
had evacuated this metropolis. A very elegant dinner,
worthy so joyous an occasion, was prepared in the Lond-Room,
ushered in by a peal from the bells of St. Michael's Church,
and by some military music. After dinner the thirteen
