From the Paris A-la-main, Feb. 14. The day before yesterday
the peace was proclaimed in all the publick places, with the
solemnities usual upon the like occasion. Yesterday Te Deum
was sung in the Metropolitan Church of this city, and in the
evening a very fine firework was played off, which without
question was best executed . . . [6 lines]
The French and Italian Comedians gave each a play gratis,
as a testimony of their joy on the publication of the peace.
