The Post, from Boston to Dartmouth, presents his compliments
to his kind customers, . . . [1/2 column essay, subtle and
gentle reminder that the Post needs his fees for carrying
the newspaper. . . Near top, the following lines:]
Though Whigs and Tories, are each other's foes,
And act in divers circles, yet they close
On this great centre, and at last do fall
Upon the points of wishing self had all. . .
[signed] Samuel Allen, Dartmouth, August 9, 1777.
