London. . . April 21. A gentleman in the city has received
a letter from his son at Gibraltar which says, "The
Spaniards are now reinforcing their army at St. Roch, and a
body of French troops are landed with them, from which it is
expected that we shall have warmer work then we have had
since they first laid siege to the fort. . . [6 lines] I
hope we shall tire them out, and oblige them to give over
the siege; but no more at present, as the drum now beats to
arms."
