  Of all the leaders in the state
  That in the House of Commons prate, 
  And make our Sov'reign scratch his pate, 
  There's none like twisting Charley.
  On Shelburne's peace he made a rout, 
  Sore vex'd he had in wrath gone out, 
  But nimbly turn'd him North-about, 
  And in popp'd subtle Charley.
