The overseers of the poor, take the earliest opportunity to
acknowledge the obligation to Mr. Billings, and the Society
of Singers connected with him, for their voluntary aid to
the distressed persons under their care, in the Alms-House,
by the agreeable performance of a Concert, of Vocal and
Instrumental Music, at Trinity Church, on the 3d inst, by
which the sum of L 69. 7. 2. was received, and appropriated
to their use and benefit.
