Philadelphia. Extract of a letter from Charlestown, South
Carolina, dated September 13 . . . [5 lines of text begin
the letter, detailing a meeting of the chiefs of the
Cherokee, Catawbae, and Creek Indians to make peace among
themselves and renew an alliance with the town]. Friday and
Saturday they were shewn the armory, the church, where the
organs play'd, the forts, where some shot were fired of 24
pound weight, and whatever else was thought curious to them
