Marshal Saxe and describing improvements he made to the
castle at Chambord] He also caused a theatre to be built,
the decorations whereof cost more than [ ] livres. His
company of players was composed of excellent actors and
actresses, and he had in his kitchen thirty-five cooks. . .
[5 lines] Another time he told the general officers,
"Gentlemen, I have just been informed, that the enemy is to
hold a council of war at seven this evening; for my part, I
shall go about the same time to the play, and advise you to
do so too."
