Leghorn, August 10. [3 lines relating the taking of the
Pope's felucca] the dey ordered the slaves to be brought
before him. Amongst them were Signior Quintavelle and
Signora Gallinare, in company with a large band of
musicians, who were going from Rome to the opera at Palermo:
but the dey having an ear deaf to the charms of Italian
music, ordered the men to be conducted to the Bagne (where
the slaves are kept) and the ladies to one of his own
houses, to be employed in a manner suitable to their sex.
