Ran away on the 18th day of April last, a country-born Negro
man named Charles, about 30 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9
inches high, well made, a plausible sensible fellow, very
fond of strong liquor, and very talkative and saucy when
drunk, and plays very well on the violin. Had on a dyed
cotton coat and breeches, a red jacket, good shoes and
stockings, a felt hat, and several good cloaths with him.
Whoever will deliver him to me, living at the lower part
of Frederick County, shall have forty shillings reward, paid
by [signed] Miriam Richardson.
