Stafford County, Virginia, October 6, 1772. Five pounds
reward for apprehending a convict servant, named Samuel
Gasford, imported in the Kidd, Capt. Thornton, into
Rappahannock, last year, and ran away from the Rev. Mr.
Boucher's, in Prince-Georges' County, yesterday. His person
is rather likely, being about 5 feet 6 or 8 inches in
stature, 23 years of age, with light coloured brown hair;
which, however, being very artful, he will probably cut off.
He had with him. . . [4 lines, clothing] He sings, and
plays tolerably well on the German flute, which he is fond
of. He carried off with him my portmanteau, with sundries
of my wearing apparel; and a small bay horse, . . . [11
lines, terms, signed] Clement Brooke.
