October 19, 1772. Lost at the play-house door on Saturday
the third inst. a green leather pocket book, with a
memorandum-book bound in it, tied with brown silk ferret:
There was in it some cash, and a number of papers of use
only to the owner.
Whoever has it, and will bring it to Mr. Colin Campbell in
Annapolis, shall be welcome to the money in the book, and
shall be paid fifteen shillings currency for their trouble,
and no questions asked [signed] John Allan Thomas.
