Ten dollars reward. Ran away from the subscriber, on the
17th of March last, John Clark, alias Clout, an Englishman,
about 35 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, by
profession a drummer; he is an ill looking fellow, with
brown hair which is commonly tied behind, has received a
fracture in his skull near his left temple by a musket ball:
had on an old frize jacket much worn, breeches and under
jacket of country cloth, country made shoes with strings,
and an osnabrig shirt, which it is likely he has changed, as
he took with him nine pounds cash. Whoever takes up the
said servant and contrives him to Piscataway shall receive
the above reward, and reasonable charges allowed by [signed]
Thomas Dent. April 2, 1777.
