Charles-town, January 1. . . Last Wednesday evening the
Aethiopian ladies of this town gave an elegant entertainment
at the long room in Meeting-street to a numerous company of
gentlemen of various habits and denominations. The dancing,
which began about seven, shewed infinite judgment, and the
supper about eleven, displayed peculiar taste. The ladies
returned to dancing after supper, and the company separated
with regret about four in the morning. In short, the whole
was conducted with a taste that does much honour to the
manager
