Tuesday the 25th of June, being the day appointed by
proclamation for the celebration in this state of the birth
of a Dauphin of France, a very large and respectable company
of ladies and gentlemen assembled at Lower Marlborough,
where a handsome entertainment was provided. . . [22 lines,

The day was spent in perfect mirth; the entertainment,
which was in a pleasant grove, well adapted for the purpose,
concluded with a dance on the green of thirteen couple of
the younger ladies and gentlemen, and the joy expressed in
every countenance clearly shewed, that the company were
happy in a opportunity of testifying publicly the esteem
which they bear his Most Christian Majesty. . .
