Extract of a letter from Dublin, March 18. Yesterday being
the festival of St. Patrick, the day shone forth with a
brilliancy hitherto unknown in the annals of Ireland. It
displayed the grand ceremony of the installation of the
Knights of the order of St. Patrick, a scene magnificent
beyond description, and which may be considered as a prelude
only to the rising greatness and blooming laurels that await
the people of this land. At six o'clock in the morning the
drums of the regulars and volunteers beat to arms, and a
little after the corps took their respective stations. . .
