Ten pounds reward, ran away from the subscriber, living on
Morgan's Run, near Little Pipe Creek in Baltimore County;
John Merchant, an indented English servant, about 25 years
of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, of a pale swarthy
complexion, grey eyes, short black hair, a short nose turns
up at the end, pitted with the small pox in large pits, has
some scars on his back by being whipt, is middling
talkative, and apt to romance, and fond of singing; had on
when he went away, a white kersey jacket and breeches, a
claret coloured broad cloth ditto without sleeves, white
yarn stockings, and nailed shoes, a check shirt, and a half
worn caster hat; said fellow served seven years, in this
country, and has a pass to Baltimore-Town from me; whoever
take up said fellow and secures him in gaol, so that I get
him again, shall have forty shillings, . . . [4 lines,
