Ran away from the subscriber living on Fell's Point, an
English servant man, named John Foster, by trade a turner
and has worked some time at the joiners business; is an
extraordinary good fidler, about five feet seven inches
high, he is much given to liquor, of a light complexion, a
long pale face, blue eyes, a high forehead, short brown hair
and walks stooping; had on when he went away a check shirt,
an old blue surtout coat much torn, striped flannel jacket
with the stripes across, and blue ditto under it, a blue
close bodied coat without lining, and yellow buttons on it,
leather breeches, brown ribbed stockings and old shoes; he
has been 18 months in the country, and formerly belonged to
one Richard Button merchant on Fell's Point, and has his old
indentures in his pocket, he is a pretty good scholar and
perhaps may forge a pass and change his cloaths. Whoever
takes up the said servant and brings him home, or secures
him in any gaol that his master may get him again, shall
have a rewayd of thirty shillings if taken within forty
miles, eighty miles three pounds, if a hunderd miles four
pounds and reasonable charges if brought home paid by
[signed] Samuel Burtus.
