(By permission.) At the Theatre in Baltimore, This evening,
the 14th of January, 1783, will be presented the tragedy of
Cato.
Cato, Mr. Ryan; Sempronius, Mr. Willis; Juba, Mr. Wall;
Portius, Mr. Tilyard; Marcus, Mr. Shakespear; Lucius, Mr.
Davids; Decius, Mr. Smith; Mutineers, Guards &c, Messrs
Lindsay, Atherton, Patterson, Roussell, &c. Lucia, Mrs.
Robinson; Marcia, Mrs. Ryan.
Between the play and farce, a song, by a gentleman, for his
amusement.
To which will be added, a pantomime entertainment (2d time)
called The Witches; or, Birth, Vagaries, and Death of
Harlequin.
(With new music, dresses, and machinery)
Harlequin, Mr. Atherton; Pantaloon, Mr. Heard; Maccaroni,
Mr. Davids; Clown, Mr. Willis; Barber, Mr. Shakespear;
Waiter, Mr. Roussel; Cook Maid, Mr. Lindsay; Watchman, Mr.
Tilyard; Hecate, Mr. Wall; Witches, Messrs. Lewis and Smith;
Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Foster, and Miss Wall. Harlequin Pigmy,
Master Ryan. Colombine, Mrs. Parsons.
Dance of Shepherds and Shepherdesses.
[hand pointing right] Tickets to be had at Mr. James Young's
near the Post Office--at the Exchange Coffee-House, Fell's
Point--and at the office of the Theatre, where places for
the boxes may be taken, from ten to twelve o'clock every
day.
*** The manager will be much obliged to any persons
possessed of the Tragedies of Matilda and Percy, if they
will lend or dispose of them to him.
