At the Theatre in Baltimore, on Monday evening the 31st of
March, will be presented, a tragedy, called The Siege of
Damascus.
The characters to be filled by a number of young gentlemen
of the town, for the purpose of erecting a bridge over
Jones's Falls, at the lower end of Baltimore Street.
To which will be added, a farce, called The Mayor of
Garratt.
*** Singing by several gentlemen.
[hand pointing right] Encouraged by that public-spirit which
so eminently characterizes the citizens of Baltimore, the
gentlemen have ventured to affix the price of two dollars to
box tickets, and eleven shillings and three-pence to the
pit.
Tickets to be had at Mr. George M'Candless's; at the
Post-Office; at Mr. James Young's, in town; and at each of
the Coffee-houses, at the Point; likewise at the office of
the Theatre, where one of the gentlemen will attend, from
ten to one, on Saturday and Monday, for that purpose.
N.B. No person can possibly be admitted behind the scenes.
The curtain will rise precisely at seven o'clock.
