Baltimore, April 1. "The Siege of Damascus" a Tragedy, was
presented the last evening, at the Theatre in this town, to
a numerous and respectable audience. The characters were
filled, with very great reputation, by a number of young
gentlemen of the town for the purpose of erecting a bridge
over Jones's Falls at the lower end of Baltimore Street. --
The public spirited design, added to the judgement and
accuracy that were manifested on this occasion, justly
entitle these promising youth to the animating reward they
have obtained--the approbation of their fellow citizen--with
the applause of many fair Eudocias.
