Cambridge, May 18. Extract of a letter from a gentleman in
New-London, to his friend in this place, dated May 15, 1776.
I find, by letters from New-York, that there are several
cargoes of goods expected, which are sent out on purpose to
be disputed of for account of certain adventurers in
England; who it seems have been induced to make the trial
from letters they have received from individuals in New-
York, which letters will soon be made publick; . . . [10
lines] I hope this late Dance of theirs will convince them;
if not, they must make another trial, and have (I hope) to
dance it over again.
