Plymouth, May 28. 1724. This being the anniversary of the
birth of his Glorious Majesty King George, his good and
loyal subjects of this town celebrated the same with
bonfire, illuminations, the discharge of the artillery, and
drinking of a good health to the King, the Prince and
Princess, and all the royal family. The discharge of the
artillery was follow'd with beat of drum, hussa's, and
joyful acclamations. Our principal gentlemen retired to the
house of Mr. Thomas Witherel, where they spent the evening
in drinking loyal healths, &c.
