London, July 8. There having been much talk of the solemn
procession made by the University of Oxford with their
address from Mr. Lupton's, brother to the late learned
Doctor near St. James's Palace, to the Palace of St.
James's, on Saturday the 1st instant; we have just received
this following account, viz. That the very worthy Dr.
Mather, Vice-Chancellor, President of Corpus Christi
College, preceded by one of the superiour beadles of the
University, walked first at the head of twelve young
noblemen. . . [4 lines] Next fourteen bishops of that
University, in their Episcopal robes preceded near thirty
doctors in the superiour faculties of divinity, law, and
physick, with two doctors of musick, and both the proctors;
all in the habits proper to their degrees & stations. . .
