London, March 2. Yesterday being the anniversary of the
birth-day of her Majesty, the court in general appeared with
the utmost splendor and magnificence, each endeavouring to
excell each other in richness of dress, which being chiefly
the manufactory of the best artificers in the British
nation; her Majesty received the complements from the
several nobility and quality, which was very numerous on
that occasion, and the evening was concluded with a ball.
The same was observed throughout the cities of London and
Westminster, with all loyal demonstrations of joy; as
ringing of bells; and the evening was concluded with
bonfires, illuminations and fireworks.
