Norwich, Oct. 13. . . On Sunday last in the forenoon, in
sermon-time at our cathedral church, there fell some dry
dirt from the south east corner of our great tower, from the
floor on which the bells are hung, being upwards of an
hundred feet high, and falling partly into the seats where
our chief magistrates were sitting, the persons that it fell
upon fled from it which put other into motion. . . [in the
end the tower was sound and not about to fall.]
