Abingdon, April 11. 1734. Whereas this memorable day (more
worthy of celebration than the 5th of November) has been
ushered in with the ringing of bells, &c. This is to give
notice there will be a civilized mob this evening in the
market-place; where it is desired, that all those who are in
the country interest would meet; and they shall be
entertained with the musick of the bells, and a large
bonfire, in which several of our adversaries, in effigie,
will be burnt with great decency. A.B.C D. &c. Patriots.
