Citation | NEWJ.740.012 17 Jun 1740:21 (687) Wednesday last being the anniversary of his Majesty's accession to the throne, when he enter'd into the fourteenth year of his reign, the same was observed here by the ringing of the bells, firing the cannon at Castle William &c. In the evening his Excellency our governour, his Majesty's council, the Hon. House of Representatives and a great number of other gentlemen met at the Town House, and celebrated the same with loyalty & joy. |
