The following Address is said to have been presented to his
late Majesty King George II, on his Accession to the Throne,
by the Crew of the Orford Man of War; and as it appears to
us to be made in Character and to abound with Wit, as well
as plain good Sense, we judge a Publication of it will not
be unacceptable.
Most gracious Sovereign Lord our King,
Since all your lands their tribute bring
Of loyalty--just duty, please
To accept the homage of your seas:
Neptune, who under you commands,
Craves leave to come and kiss your hands;
And we your servants, sons to him,
Give you three cheers from stern to stem;
