London, October 4. . . [25 lines] We hear that several
commissions hath been sent out, by the Dolphin man of war
for the procurement of Patagonian men and women; among many
the following, we are assured, are authentick:
Wanted, two Patagonian footmen of the tallest stature, to
carry the Great Patriot's crutches before his chair, when he
takes his seat in the H---- of P-----; his late footman
George being of no further use to him.
Jonathan T----, Esq; proprietor of Vauxhall-gardens would
be glad to two Patagonian gardiners, to clip the trees in
the dark walk, without the expence of frames.
The manager of Covent Garden theatre has bespoke a pair of
Patagonians, to represent the Dukes of Aquitain and
Normandy, at his next exhibition of the coronation. N.B.
Any do fellows will do, provided they match well.
