William Appleton, At the Bible and Crown in Queen-street,
Portsmouth, A very valuable collection of books in law,
history, divinity, physick and navigation, &c. among which
are,
Burns Justice of the Peace, 4 vol; Reading's Clerk's
Instructor, 2 vols; Lord Raymond's Every Man his own Lawyer;
. . . [25 lines] Dictionary of Arts and Sciences, 4 vols
adorned with copper plates. Boyer's French Dictionary,
quarto. Salmon's Geographical Grammar. Brooke's and
Salmon's Gazeteer. West India Pilot. Tansur's Royal
Melody, London Edition. Also several hundred of other
books; many of which are for the amusement of young minds:
