King of Denmark]
October 4. The ball at Carlton house on Friday night, which
was very splended and numerous, was opened by his Danish
Majesty and the Queen; the country dances commenced about
eleven, and continued till near four o'clock, when their
Majesties and the King of Denmark retired, as did the rest
of the nobility soon afterwards.
On Friday, at the ball at Charlton-house, the Prince of
wales went down with two country dances.
Sunday the King of Denmark attended divine service at the
German Chapel, St. james's & about half an hour past one
o'clock; after having partook of a cold collation, set out
for Newmarke[t].
