New-York, March 26. The day was celebrated with great joy
and decency. A little before Sunday the company from
Hampden-Hall, joined by a number of people in the fields,
went, with music playing, and colours flying, to the
New-Goal, where they saluted Capt. McDougall, with three
cheers, which were answered in like manner by the company
within. He thanked them for this mark of their respect in a
short address thro' the [ ] of the window of the middle
story. . . [12 lines]
