London.  Dec. 4.  The audience at Mr. Foot's Theatre at
Edinburgh, calling out repeatedly for the Miner, and not
acquiescing to the first excuse, Mr. Foote himself made his
appearance, and in Latin intimated to the house, that the
principal subject of ridicule having paid nature's great
debt, he humble submitted to their reflection, whether such
an exhibition would be seemly.
